I have seen bushtits many times over the decades, but never gave them much thought. Which, upon reading about them, might be just what they want...draw little attention, go on their way, adapt, adjust, survive. A good tactic in these days, in these times.
Dear Mike, Adapting, adjusting, yes: These are mental gestures essential to survival and I've been organizing their subroutines into proper sequential order for the past half-year. Making progress, memories returning. In writing, poetry and humor help most-- birds and words wake internal tactician.
I never heard of bushtits and my unwholesome mind thought it might be a dirty word *smile*. I had to Google it to clear up my (innocent) error. I always learn new words from you, Geo.
Thanks Jon, I like to imagine W.C. Fields switching from bushtit to "...my little chickadee" as safer in a cinematic line --possibly for the same reason.
Thanks reciprocated, EC. Norma just mounted a transparent plastic birdfeeder on bedroom window and little "feathered enchanters" were its first visitors.
