Enigma Of The Indoor Moon

For those few readers who have not heard about three expert observers discovering a second moon orbiting our planet, I refer you to this transcription taken from (scientist and metaphysician) Will's list a decade ago --Click here please .

Here is an update:
The thumb-shaped object in 2nd Moon's lower hemisphere is my thumb. Most people in its northerly trajectory over California build their ground-floor halls in that direction --and furnish doggie doors at each end so moon can get in and out without mishap. It orbits Earth at about 4 and1/2 feet. Still, people here, and Oregon --Washington and West-coast Canada-- must sometimes grab it or nudge it to keep it from banging into things. Here's another Normaphoto:
My Portuguese, Brazilian and Roman fore-bearers called her Pequena Luna and have always helped her through our houses. And, tradition has it that if you give her a kiss on her way, she will perform a lovely light show on her way out.

Safe orbit, Little Moon! Watch for traffic and pedestrians!

Then, I let her go.

  1. My only explanation can be lunar magic.

It was enjoyable to fall into the time slide and read the post from 2010.
Lunacy has been practiced here for some time.

    1. Ah, Tom, You know we Left-coasters have long been known for our Political Lunatism and have a magical land to show for it. In fact, major parties, Democrats and Republicans have been united by it.

  2. and when she rolls around in the grass in the yard and picks up a tic, she's a lunatic, right?

    1. Dear Sage, You're right...mainly. But she knows tics can't survive on Moons, so she casts them back to Earth --it's only a 4-foot drop.

  3. The linked post is very entertaining and enlightening, but this one has filled a huge gap in my knowledge! Apparently a huge gap, anyway :)

Now I wonder if a moon with an orbit that low has anything to do with the rules of Feng Shui . . .

    1. O_Jenny, only in her orbital path. If she meets with a door, she just keeps banging and bouncing off until somebody opens it, lets her in and opens the back door to let her out. I think Feng Shui was also a response to low flying airplanes, which changed architecture near airports.

    1. Wonderful encouragement to Earth's second Moon! But remember to give her a kiss before she floats off.

  5. I have some experience with Little Moon here in the far north. She seems to respond well to kisses and I appreciate your temporarily allowing anon. comment when I ask. Thanks!

    1. Dear Susan, sometimes moons are very shy and hide behind things, indoors and out. Others are simply audible --one hears them giggling as they drift by.

  7. First, thanks for the link to your earlier post. What a fantastic conversation! You guys would be a hoot at a dinner party.

As for the second moon, what a delightful thought, especially if it makes house calls. I'd certainly try to make it feel welcome in our humble abode. (I wonder if its presence leads to heightened romance and poetic musings?) Although, I've never seen this lovely second mood, I DO know its name. Leo, of course. (Low Earth Orbit) Matter of fact, since its orbit is so much lower than other LEOs, he must be King Leo.)

On the other hand, could such a low-altitude moon possibly provide a logical explanation for some of the lunacy occurring in the political world? If I didn't see it in your hands, I'd be worried that the moon was being held hostage in the White House or Capitol building...

    1. "Low Earth Orbit" I love it, but must insist planetary bodies are largely androgynous --otherwise the possibility of emergent life-forms would be bleak. Fortunately, Leo's (Cleo's?)orbital route enters houses of those who share a kiss without questioning, as one would kiss a child.

    1. All decisions made beside the moon, like those made under the moon, are mutual. Bruce, having important jobs to do, we both let each other go.

    1. Dear Osho Spirit Tea, thank you. My soul, in this life, has seen much cruelty, hardship, but also much love and learned gentleness is our greatest strength. I am so glad to meet another who understands. All my best to you.
